CHRONIC ILLNESS COUNSELING IN INDIANAPOLIS & ACROSS IN
There’s always the possibility of hope, even if it feels out of reach.
Validating, specialized support for chronic pain, grief, new diagnoses, and more.
You feel trapped inside of your body.
You wake up every morning in pain and barely have the energy to do the things you need to, let alone the things you want to do. People don’t see the behind-the-scenes of everything you’re dealing with, either. The mental load, the never-ending doctor’s appointments, managing prescriptions—it’s so much to deal with, but it’s not like you have a choice.
It’s exhausting to constantly put on a face like everything’s okay, especially because you’re worried about being a burden to the people in your life. This chronic diagnosis is affecting more than just your body—depression and anxiety come in waves (or maybe all at once) no doubt due to the pressure and stress you’re under. Truthfully, you’re out of steam, but there has to be a way to find some sort of relief or answers... right?
Supporting your whole body holistically.
When I say I’m here for you, I really mean it.
I understand firsthand the challenges of living with chronic pain and navigating the healthcare system. It’s frustrating when you feel like you’re not being heard or experiencing medical gaslighting from a team of health professionals you thought you could rely on. My personal journey has taught me the importance of a supportive therapeutic relationship that meets you where you are, without the pressure of traditional treatment goals and I’m privileged to offer you just that.
Somatic Experiencing and nervous system work have been transformative in my own life, and I believe in their power to help you find a new way of being in your body. In our work together, I offer a space where you can feel accepted in any state of health and where hope is always a possibility, even—and especially—on the toughest days. My goal is to provide the understanding and patience needed to support your unique healing journey.

Using strategies from pain reprocessing therapy can help you retrain your brain’s perception and interpretation of what your body is feeling. It’s not about ignoring the pain, but instead relearning how to think about and process it.
-
In order to “deal” we have to feel. You’ll learn and understand how to feel safe with your emotions and develop strategies to identify, trust, and allow your emotions to guide you in decision-making.
-
When our nervous system becomes chronically dysregulated and stuck in fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown states, we become prone to developing chronic pain, chronic fatigue, and IBS. Using a polyvagal-informed approach, I’ll be here to support you in building a relationship with your nervous system and developing skills to regulate it. We will utilize somatic experiences to process memories, reduce the cognitive and emotional impact of past events, and release trauma.
-
Relationships with others thrive when you maintain the one with yourself. I’ll use different systemic approaches to help you feel increased safety in your mind & body and improve your relationships with family, partners, friends, and colleagues.
